Moose and Zee--Moose



Sorry for the delay; without further ado, I give you Moose! (see early entry for Zee pattern). Please let me know if there are any mistakes in the pattern, parts missing, or if you have questions.

Body




With yellow, ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)
Rnd 4: sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (24 sc)
Rnd 5: sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (30 sc)
Rnd 6: sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (36 sc)
Rnd 7: sc in next 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (42 sc)
Rnd 8: sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (48 sc)
Rnd 9: sc in next 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (54 sc)
Rnd 10: sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc around (60 sc)
Rnd 11-30: sc in each sc around
Rnd 31: sc in next 8 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (54 sc)
Rnd 32: sc in next 7 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (48 sc)
Rnd 33: sc in next 6 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (42 sc)
Rnd 34: sc in next 5 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (36 sc)
Rnd 35: sc in next 4 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (30 sc)
Rnd 36: sc in next 3 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (24 sc)

Fasten off.

Eye (Make 2)



With white, ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)
Fasten off. Sew to body.
N.B. If the eyes seem too small, add another round increasing evenly for a total of 6x [see body for actual figures].

Nose

With yellow, ch 2
Rnd 1: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook (8 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (16 sc)
Rnd 3-15 (or desired length):sc in each sc around
Rnd 16: sc in next 2 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (12 sc)
Fasten off.
Sew to body.
Feet and Legs (Make 2)



For foot, ch 2 with yellow
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)
Rnd 4-6: sc in each sc around
Row 7: sc across 6 sc, turn
Row 8-13: sc in each sc across, turn
Rnd 14: sc in each sc of Row 13 and unworked sc of Rnd 7 around (18 sc)
Rnd 15-20: sc in each sc around
Sew to body.

Arms (Make 2)



With yellow, ch 2
Rnd 1: 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook (8 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (16 sc)
Rnd 3: in back loops only, sc in each sc around
Rnd 4-14: sc in each sc around
Rnd 15: sc dec around (8 sc)
Fasten off.

For hand, join yellow in front loops of Rnd 3.
Rnd 1: sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat around (20 sc)
Rnd 2: sc in each sc around
Rnd 3: ch 4, sc around 16 sc, leaving remaining sc unworked, join to first sc (16 sc and 4 ch sp)
Rnd 4: sc in each ch sp and sc around (20 sc)
Divide 20 sc evenly into 4 parts for fingers. Each finger should have a total of 5 sc on both sides of the hand.
Rnd 5 (first finger): sc around 5 sc (5 sc)
Rnd 6-8: sc in each sc around
Fasten off and weave in ends.
For thumb, join yellow in unworked sc, sc dec in unworked sc on Rnd 3, sc in other side of ch space (6 sc)
Repeat rounds 6-8 above.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Sew arms to body.

Tail



With yellow, ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)
Rnd 4-7: sc in each sc around
Rnd 8 sc in next sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 9: sc in next 4 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (10 sc)
Rnd 10: sc in next 3 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (8 sc)
Rnd 11: sc in next 2 sc, sc dec in next 2 sc around (6 sc)
Rnd 12: sc in each sc around
Fasten off.
Sew to back of body.

Ears (Make 4)



With yellow, ch 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Fasten off for 2 ears, set aside. For the other 2 ears, do not fasten off, but continue with joining.
Joining
With 2 pieces together, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc around (18 sc)
Fasten off and weave in ends. Sew to body.



Finishing

Cut out two antlers out of brown felt and sew or glue to ears as shown. Cut out two circles out of brown felt and sew/glue to each side of the nose and put a triangle underneath the nose for the mouth. Embroider eyebrows above eyes. Cut out two circles out of black felt for pupils and sew/glue on eyes.
